We uncovered the septic tank to inspect the lid. We suspected from earlier that it might be broken.
Sure enough, one of the concrete slabs was missing.
We got a good look at the inside to better understand how it works.
After the tank got emptied, we realized the tank was quickly refilling from the septic field... that means either the tank is too low or the field is too high. Not good!
To take our minds of the septic system woes, we bought ourselves a ladder for our raft.
Now even the wife can get up on the raft. So inviting!
We also had a load of dirt brought in to level out the firepit area. This first load couldn't get all the way in due to the wet ground. The truck got stuck in the lawn and had to dump the sand where he was.
Luckily he got the second load all the way into the centre of the firepit area.
Our good friend Kenny was kind enough to help move all that sand.
Two loads leveled out.
Our firepit area is coming along nicely! Thanks Kenny!
